There’s more than one way to scale a mountain.
Not much for hiking? Choose to ride instead. We recognize that not everyone is willing or able to hike to the top of a nearly 4,000-foot mountain. Yet, it would be a shame to deny anyone the view. That’s why we provide bus transportation to within 1,500 feet of the top of scenic Sharp Top Mountain, one of the three Peaks of Otter.
Bus service is available Friday through Sunday, weather permitting, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m through November 24. Trips are generally hourly, but will run more frequently when necessary to meet passenger demand. The fare is $8.00 round trip per adult / $6.00 round trip per child 12 & under. $5.00 one way per adult / $4.00 one way per child. Currently reservations are being taken on-site at the country store.
Last departure of the shuttle ride is 3:00 p.m. The Country Store is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Country Store will be closed for the season as of November 25.
Note that riding up the mountain doesn’t mean you necessarily need to ride down. Many opt to enjoy the return leg of the trip on foot. The choice is yours.
